Low-Power Radio Communication
Four different radio solutions are now available to the ASTROSE system, depending on the application environment and requirements, which are optimized in particular with regard to energy requirements, range and data throughput:
- 868-MHz communication in star topology based on the LoRaWAN radio standard with a focus on small data volumes and the longest possible ranges
- 2.4 GHz communication in daisy chain topology based on the Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth 5) radio standard with a focus on medium ranges and high data throughput
- Proprietary 868 MHz communication based on LoRa modulation technology with a focus on robust mesh networks
- Proprietary 2.4 GHz communication based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard with a focus on data security
